Tinubu returns to Nigeria ahead of SWAGA rally
Former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has arrived in Nigeria.
Sources close to the National Leader said Tinubu came in the evening of Friday, 8 October 2021 to beat his campaign group, SWAGA 2023 to the rally planned for Sunday, 10 October 2023, when they were hoping to receive him with a mother of all rallies that will shake the nation.
“Asiwaju is not disposed to the elaborate rally planned to receive him by his supporters because of the mood of the nation, that’s why he came in quietly, unannounced,” said a source who craves anonymity.
Recall, the former Lagos State Governor had undergone knee surgery at the John Hopkins University Hospital in Maryland, the United States.

At least over 30 politicians have visited the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, in London, the United Kingdom in the last two months.
President Muhammadu Buhari opened the floodgate of visits when he visited Tinubu on 13 August.
Tinubu, who celebrated his 69th birthday in March 2021 commanding an arguably large following of political loyalists, has been rumoured to nurse presidential ambition in 2023.
