Tinubu’s health debate heats up again; Keyamo tackles Obi
As presidential candidates moves toward the official kick-off campaigns for the 223 general election, the APC and the LP presidential candidate Peter Obi are duking it out on health grounds.
Obi’s supporters are laying claim to a Whatsapp message circulating about Bola Tinubu confiding he’s pulling out of the race because of his health.
But the APC campaign spokesman dismissed the message.
“We wish to use this medium to debunk the false and misleading posts on various social media handles of supporters of Mr Peter Obi that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is withdrawing from the race on health grounds,” said campaign spokesman Festus Keyamo.
The speculation about Tinubu’s health has always been around, though it abated after he won the APC primary, despite his opponents make a great deal of it.
After recovering from a kneecap surgery in London in 2021, Tinubu confirmed he had the procedure, ad challenged his critics that only God gives life.
As campaigns draw closer, rivals have started harping on it.
