Tragedy: Lawmaker slumps, dies during session
It was a tragic incident when a lawmaker in the Sokoto state house of Assembly, representing Kebbe constituency, Isa Harisu, slumped and died on the floor of the Assembly during legislative session. He died at the age of 65 years.
It was indicated that the lawmaker, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), collapsed during the House plenary on Monday.
He was rushed to Usmanu Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
The Sokoto State House of Assembly is said to have suspended sitting to attend the burial ceremony.
