Twitter activist Rinu Oduala reacts after Lagos state Governor Sanwo-Olu blocked her on Twitter
Popular Twitter influencer Rinu Oduala has used her Twitter account to express her displeasure after Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu blocked her on Twitter over her comments with regards to the Lekki shootings that happened on October 20, 2020. Just yesterday, some unknown gunmen attacked a Catholic church in Owo in Ondo state and killed many, while some were left badly injured, which has turned out to be the topic both online and offline as many Nigerians seem concerned about the unfortunate incident.
The Lagos state governor also felt it and sent his commiserating message to the Ondo state governor and he went on to express how deeply he felt over it. However, Rinu Oduala thus used that opportunity to call the governor’s attention over the Lekki shootings as she asked why were people killed on that day.
In a message she shared, she revealed that after she asked such a question, she was immediately blocked from accessing any tweet from the governor again.
In her words, as she expressed that things aren’t supposed to be done that way because it’s an avenue for her to hold her governor accountable, “I’m a citizen of Lagos state and you can’t block me from accessing your office.”
Do you think she must have pushed the governor so hard for him to do so, or did the governor do the right thing?
