U-17 World Cup: Nigeria loses 1-2 to Germany
Nigeria’s Flamingos on Tuesday lost 1-2 to Germany in a Group B game at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Miracle Usani had given Nigeria the lead in the 30th minute of the game in Goa. Germany fought back to equalize 15 minutes into the second half through Svea Stold. They made it two goals in another 15 minutes. The Nigerians failed to clear their lines and Mara Alber beat Faith Omilana for the second goal.
Nigeria will be playing New Zealand on Friday.
