Unknown gunmen kill UNIZIK lecturer in Anambra
A lecturer with Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State, Dr Anthony Eze, has been shot and k by unknown gunmen who invaded his home on Tuesday morning, February 7.
Dr Eze, a lecturer with the faculty of education, was driving out of his residence at Ifite Awka, to take his children to school, when the unknown gunmen opened fire on him.

National Daily reports that the deceased allegedly attempted to flee but was chased and gunned down. According to an eyewitness, “We were here this morning when Dr Eze was driving out of his house and suddenly a Toyota Corolla salon car pulled towards the entrance of his house and when he tried to drive back, they followed him and shot him in the chest.
We ran away. We rushed him to the General Hospital, Amaku, and the doctor at the hospital confirmed that he was d£ad.”
