UPDATE: Prison break in Jos, 5 re-arrested says Police Commissioner

The Plateau State Police Commissioner, CP, Bartholomew Onyeka, has said five inmates out of the prisoners who escaped from the Jos Correctional Facility has been re-arrested.
Mr Onyeka said one prisoner out of the five returned by himself and handed himself to the Police.
He said efforts are still ongoing to get the hoodlums who carried out the prison break.
He also assured that his men are working to also re-arrest all the fleeing inmates.
The CP confirmed to our correspondent that the Jos Correctional center was invaded this evening by yet to be identified gunmen.
Earlier our correspondent had reported that at about 5:30pm Sunday, bandits broke into the Jos Correctional center shooting sporadically.
The Jos custodial center is located at the heart of the city and surrounded by the State Police Headquarters, the DSS, A Division of the Nigeria Police as well as the Area Command, Jos Metro of the Nigeria Police.
