Uzodimma deploys government power for APC election, appoints 305 liaison officers in Imo
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State is deploying the powers of the state government for the electioneering of candidates of his, the All Progressives Congress (APC). The court created governor, accordingly, appointed 305 APC liaison officers in all the wards of the state, mandating them to promote government policies and programmes at the grassroots.
Uzodimma at the Government House, Owerri, inaugurated the 305 APC liaison officers, charging them to work toward educating the people on the achievements of the APC administration in the state.
Uzodimma also urged them to help sustain the relative peace being enjoyed in their localities, while advising them to work in close synergy with existing leaders of the party so as to avoid conflicts in their domains.
” Effectively, by this inauguration you have become an active part of government. Go to your wards and defend government programmes alongside other party structures on ground.
” Ensure you get accurate information of happenings in your wards, know when enemies want to penetrate your area and bring such to the knowledge of government so that we will intervene on time,” the court created governor said.
Uzoma Eke, who spoke on behalf of the liaison officers, commended the governor for the appointment. He promised that the appointees would put in their best by driving the achievements of the state government to the grassroots.
