Veteran Journalist unveils new book  ‘Awólọ́wọ̀ Akíkanjú Aṣíwájú (AAA)’  September 16

A new Yoruba literature titled ‘Awólọ́wọ̀ Akíkanjú Aṣíwájú (AAA)’ written by  Olanrewaju Lagada-Abayomi (B.A, M.A (Yoruba), PGD, MSC (Mass Comm.) is set for public presentation 16th, September 2021.
The book will be officially unveiled under the auspices of Chief Dr. (Amb.) Olatokunbo Awolowo Dosumu, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Conference and Exhibition Centre, No 10 Olowopopo Street, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos..
The author who is a veteran broadcast journalist with the Voice Of Nigeria (VON), gave a vivid trajectory of his wordsmith journey, which has earned him reckoning before the powers that be across Southwest, Nigeria and beyond.
“This, I have done for many years through the publication of several books in Yoruba language, which have been assessed and approved for use in primary and secondary education in some states in the South West including Lagos and beyond, and as a Yoruba broadcaster. Some awards and endorsements have been received to my credit.
“In continuation of my quest to promote Yoruba culture, I have written this additional book, Awólọ́wọ̀ Akíkanjú Aṣíwájú (AAA) on a foremost icon of the 20th century, who had helped in unifying and reshaping the identity of the Yoruba race,” Lagada-Abayomi said.
His Imperial Majesty, Ọba Adéyẹyè Ẹnitàn Ògúnwùsì, Ọ̀jájá II, the Ọọ̀ni of Ifẹ̀ is the Royal Guest of Honour for special programmes slated to also commemorate the 6th year posthumous celebration of the amiable-amazon of Awo’s dynasty, Late Chief Dr. Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo CON, in Lagos.
While His Royal Highness Oba Oladipo Olaitan LLB (London) BL (The Alaago of Kajola Alaago, Osun State) is billed to Chair the launch, along with Deputy Leader, Pan Yoruba Socio-Cultural Organization, Afenfere.
As a Yoruba scholar and creative writer, the author used his talent and mastery of the Yoruba language to rekindle the flames of Yoruba-centricity and consciousness in spirit of its rich culture, history and diversity.
Recognizing the essence of the book to the new generation, which is clearly set to keep them abreast with historical facts about the personae around whose name the piece was wrapped, the Lagos State Government has approved it for Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination 2021/2022. Oyo State Government followed suit, and extended it to students at senior level.
