Why Enzo Maresca was sacked at his former club after just 13 games
Chelsea has reached an agreement with Leicester manager for Enzo Maresca to join the club, as he is their preferred replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.
At his former club, Parma, Enzo Maresca was sacked after just 13 matches, and his explanation for why he lost his job should worry Chelsea fans.
Maresca lost 4 out of his opening 13 matches, drew 5, and won only 4.
Maresca claimed one of the reasons things did not work out at Parma was because of an “International environment”
“Unfortunately, it didn’t go as I hoped. We signed 14 new players, it was a young team with an international environment.” “I was training in four languages, and it wasn’t so quick to get certain concepts across.”
This is close to the current situation that Chelsea Football Club has at the moment, and it could even get more diverse when they sign new players.
If Maresca struggles because of an international environment, then it could be a long season for Chelsea fans, because their squad is one of the most diverse in the entirety of the Premier League
