Wamakko pays solidarity visit to new APC chair, Adamu
Sen. Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto North), on Wednesday led a delegation of the state’s party chieftains on a solidarity visit to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Abdullahi Adamu.
This is contained in a statement issued by Wamakko’s Media Aide, Malam Hassan Sanyinnawal, in Sokoto on Thursday.
Wamakko described the visit as a brotherly one to congratulate Adamu on his emergence as the APC’s National Chairman.
Responding, Adamu expressed happiness and thanked Wamakko for leading the delegation of APC stalwarts from Sokoto State to visit him.
Adamu said: “this shows that APC Sokoto State Chapter is one family under the leadership of Sen. Wamakko.”
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that on the visit with Wamakko are Sen. Ibrahim Gobir, (APC-Sokoto East), Executive Secretary Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu, and Sokoto State APC Chairman, Isa Achida.
Others include former Minister of Transport and Chairman, NAFDAC, Yusuf Suleiman, Director-General, National Teachers institute, Kaduna, Prof. Musa Mai-Tafsir, and APC members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, as well as APC Zonal Secretary, North West, Mr Bello Goronyo.
