When pump price rises to N340, salaries will be worthless – Sani
Shehu Sani was on his Twitter account this morning to talk about petrol pump price increase and the full removal of subsidy by February 2022.
Recall that, Mallam Mele Kyari, the group managing director and chief executive officer of Nigerian national petroleum company limited, said that by the end of February 2022 Nigeria should be out of the subsidy regime. He said this should have happened since 2020 but some factors prevented it. Mele Kyari also made it known that fuel price will then range between N320 and N340 per litre.
In reaction to the news of fuel price increase in 2022, Shehu Sani took to his Twitter account to say that when the pump price rises to N340, salaries and wages will be worthless, landlords will increase rent, schools will increase tuition fees, food prices will increase, transport fare will increase, water and electricity bill will also increase.
