Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode, also known as FFK, took to his social media page to give his opinion to Nigerians regarding the presidential election that is coming up in 2023.

Femi Fani Kayode said that the All Progressives Congress (APC), must tread a path of equity regarding the 2023 general election as he noted that the people in the North are planning silently and effectively for the next year’s election while the people in the South are busy talking and threatening people who refused to follow their ways.

According to Femi Fani Kayode, he said: “Whilst most in the South are blabbing, threatening, and insulting those that do not see things their way, majority of the North are planning silently and effectively keeping their cards close to their chest and operating in unity, peace and one accord. This is both beautiful and powerful and it cannot be downplayed or ignored, it is a virtue and not wickedness. And those that malign them or treat them with contempt for charting this course do so at their own peril.

“If the South really wants the presidency next year in the name of fairness and equity then I challenge them to let every single aspirant from both the South-West and Sout-South in both parties step down for a candidate from the South-East and support that candidate”. Femi Fani Kayode, however, said that he is challenging the South to let every other aspirant from both the South West and South-South in both political parties step down and support a candidate from the South East if they really want the presidency in 2023.

In conclusion, Femi Fani Kayode said that the PDP may likely choose Atiku for the presidential bid and the only way APC would conquer, is if they bring in a strong candidate from the North Central or North Eastern zone, stressing that the threat that the country will divide or there will be secession if a candidate from the North Central or North-East become president are unfolded and baseless.
