Wike swears in 18 commissioners, including former APC spokesperson,
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State in Wednesday sworn in 18 commissioners into the State Executive Council. The new commissioners include the former State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Chris Finebone, who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Some former commissioners in the state executive council dissolved in May also made the list of the new commissioners.
Wike reminded the commissioners of the resolve of his administration to finish strong and do proper handover to his successor.
He urged the commissioners to recommit themselves to the tasks assigned to them and achieve the desired results.
The new commissioners include Princewill Chike, Jacobson Nbina, Ndubuisi Okere, Inime Aguma, Charles Amadi, Tonye Briggs, Ben Daminabo, Chris Finebone, Austin Chioma, Uchechukwu Nwafor, Fred Kpakol, Emenike Oke, Prince Ohia, Kaniye Ebeku, Ezekiel Agri, Ukiel Oyaghiri, Damiete Miller and Emeka Onowu.
Governor Wike directed the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, to assign portfolios to the commissioners.
