Wike sues Atiku, Tambuwal, PDP, other
Still stewing over his loss at the PDP presidential primary, Rivers Gov Nyesom Wike has rejected all entreaties, and has gone another mile deeper in his quest for vengeance.
He has now sued the party’s flagbearer Atiku Abubakar and Wike’s own ally Sokoto Gov. Aminu Tambuwal.
In a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/782/2022, Wike and a PDP chieftain, Newgent Ekamon have now have joined the party as the first respondent, while the Independent National Electoral Commission is the 2nd respondent.
Tambuwal and Atiku are listed as the 3rd and 4th respondents, respectively.
The litigants asked the court to order the INEC to reject or remove Atiku from “its list of candidates in the 2023 presidential election.
Tambuwal drew the ire of his friend Wike for stepping down for Atiku before the presidential primary which three of them contended.
Aiku scored 371 while Wike sored 237.
