Yobe guber election: Governor-elect, Buni reacts to victory, warns gossip, rumor merchants
Mai Mala Buni, Yobe State Governor-elect, has vowed to flush out rumor and gossip peddlers in his new government.
Buni gave the warning while delivering an acceptance speech before hundreds of the All Progressives Congress, APC, supporters, loyalists, stalwarts and chieftains including Governor Ibrahim Gaidam at Government House, Damaturu.
The Governor-elect, also saluted the resilience of Yobe people by coming out en masse to repose their confidence in him by voting him as the next state governor, while assuring them to justify the confidence by making their choice a worthy investment.
“To those who did not vote us, the elections are over and we still remain the good people of Yobe State. I extend hands of fellowship to every one of you to join hands with me and contribute meaningfully to the development of our state.
“To security organisations, traditional institutions, religious bodies, opinion and cultural leaders that worked tirelessly to ensure hitch free elections across the state, we thank you very much.
He commended the media for being unbiased and professional in reporting every detail of the elections across.
