2 Common mistakes that makes your cooking gas drain faster you must avoid
Recently, cooking gas has become a trendy subject of discussion as the price to refill it has experienced a major hike. This price increase has been a major cause of concern to cooking gas users as this heat source didn’t just face the usual increase in price most commodities experience over time but almost got to double its original price.
Many are now trying to keep up with the usage of cooking gas amidst its price hike which forces them to seek after means daily to make it last longer so they can at least get the worth of money spent in refilling it. However, before looking for means to make your cooking gas last longer you must first avoid certain mistakes you might be making knowingly or unknowingly when using cooking gas as they might be the major contributors to why your cooking gas gets exhausted quickly.
2 Common Mistakes That Drains Gas Faster
1) Adding Excessive Water To Foods Being Parboiled:- This is a very common mistake made by so many people complaining of how fast their cooking gas drains. When parboiling foods like rice, beans, and many others, a lot of people add excessive water which relatively increases cooking time and gas consumption.
Adding excess water to foods being parboiled will be a waste, making your cooking gas drain faster as you will end up sieving out the water before the proper cooking. This should be avoided and a moderate quantity of water should be used for parboiling.
2) Having A Divided Attention When Cooking:- Many people often have divided attention when cooking with gas as they would sometimes set water or food on this heat source and focus their attention on some other things, leaving whatever is on the cooking gas to keep boiling for a very long time even when it’s already due for usage. At this point, gas is being burnt unnecessarily which can make your cooking gas drain faster accruing lots of costs. It’s better that you focus your attention on the cooking gas when cooking, not allowing anything over-boil as it will help your cooking gas last longer.
