2023: Festus Keyamo slams Atiku over power rotation
Festus Keyamo (SAN), spokesman for the Presidential Election Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently responded to a statement by People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, saying that the Igbo tribe will succeed him as president.
According to the report shared online, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was said to have made this statement while addressing PDP stakeholders in Enugu state during his visit to the Eastern Nigerian state on Tuesday, 27th of September 2022.
While reacting to the statement on his Twitter page, Festus Keyamo said that the 14 Northern APC Governors in Nigeria did not tell these tales by moonlight. He said that the Northern governors enforced the power-shift to the South within the APC this year.
Festus Keyamo, said that it is not too late for Atiku Abubakar to honour the power-shift arrangement in his Party constitution by stepping down as the Presidential candidate of the PDP.
