31-yr-old Nigerian man arrested for for alleged cocaine trafficking
A 31-year-old Nigerian drug peddler has been arrested by the police in India in possession of 125 grams of coc@ine valued at approximately Rs 1.25 crore (about N133million).
The suspect was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Mumbai’s Bandra Unit during a special operation targeting drug traffickers in an area of Mumbai, on January 8, 2024.
Asian News International reports that the recovered dugs were worth Rs 1 crore 25 lakh in the international market.
According to the report, the police registered a case under the NDPS Act, arrested him, and produced him in the court, where he was sent to police custody till January 12.“
The suspect confessed during interrogation that he had been involved in selling coc@ine in both Mumbai city and its suburban areas
