The immune system is very important in every human. As a matter of fact, your immune system is responsible for your body’s first response or counter-attack system to invading or internal substances which can cause the development of health problems. The good thing about local goods is that they are mainly prepared using local natural ingredients which are loaded with lots of nutrients, vitamins, minerals and substances that are very beneficial to our health.

1. The first local food or delicacy is Egusi soup. Egusi soup is one of the most common soup in Nigeria. No matter the ethnic group you are from, there is a high likelihood that you eat Egusi soup more regularly than other soups. Egusi contains vitamin E and B-carotene which are antioxidants and helps to boost your immune system

2. Beans. Beans is also among the most popular food in Nigeria. It contains zinc and other nutrients that help to boost or improve the strength of your immune system. However you prepare it beans is not only a healthy meal to consume, it also has good effect on your immune system.

3. Vegetable soup. Vegetable soup can be made from spinach or any other vegetables. And as you probably know, they contain zinc and antioxidants which helps to improve your immune system by fighting or helping to expel substances which can cause inflammation which is characteristic of disease, especially the chronic ones.

4. Fish Pepper Soup. Fish peppers soup contains omega-three fatty acids which are not only beneficial to your liver (because they help expel fat deposits on the liver) but are also useful in improving your immune system.

It is advisable to replace the amount of junk foods that you consume with fish pepper soup.
