67-year-old man, one other arrested for killing a police officer
Police operatives in Adamawa State have arrested two suspects in connection with the death of a police officer, Ibrahim Maizabiwa.
The two individuals who are currently being considered suspects in this case are Ezekiel Kefas, who is 67 years old, and Stephen Zabadi, who is 44 years old. Their arrests took place following a significant development when the son of the victim decided to go to the police and report the matter concerning his father’s tragic death. This report was made on November 19, 2024, and it prompted the authorities to take immediate action in investigating the situation further.

The spokesperson for the police command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, provided details about a tragic event involving a police officer who was violently attacked. According to the report, the attack occurred after the officer was alleged to have taken a clay pot that contained soup. This clay pot unfortunately fell to the ground and broke into pieces. The entire incident took place in the Wamsa-Suwa Ward, which is part of the Lamurde Local Government Area in Adamawa State. It is important to note that this event has raised serious concerns about safety and the circumstances surrounding such conflicts in the community.
“Our investigation revealed that the deceased was a police officer attached to the Gombe State Command. He visited his friend, Ezekiel Kefas, who resides at Wamsa Suwa. He was killed and buried in the community,” Nguroje said.
