Suspension: Oshiomhole runs to Aso Rock, begs Buhari
The embattled National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, made an urgent visit to the State House, Abuja, on Thursday minutes after the Federal High Court in Kano delivered a counter judgment on the suspension order issued by the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday, where he had a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Though details of the meeting were not revealed, Bashir Ahmad, Special Assistant to the President on New Media, took to Twitter to share photos from Oshiomhole’s visit to the Presidential Villa immediately President Buhari gave him audience.
Presidential sources, however, disclosed that the Oshiomhole was at the State House to brief the President on the accelerated crisis in the party in the past 48 hours culminating into his suspension by the an FCT High Court, Abuja, which restrained him from parading himself as APC national chairman; then, the counter judgement a Federal High Court in Kano which nullified the suspension order.
However, the Oshiomhole had proceeded to the Court of Appeal to upturn the FCT High Court suspension order. The suit is still pending at the High Court as the Kano High Court delivered its judgement.
