2023: Traditional rulers endorse Tinubu
Monarchs gathering in Lagos have identified he qualities the next president of Nigeria must have, and the traditional rulers identified whom the cap fits.
According to the traditional rulers, Nigeria needs an eminent politician who is a national asset, resourceful and experienced leader, a bridge builder and good manager of men and resources.
And their consensus was APC national leader Bola Tinubu.
“If it elects Tinubu, Nigeria will savour a glorious dawn,” they said at a retreat in Eko Hotel, Lagos August 28.
The theme of the conference was: Peace and Conflict Resolution: The role of traditional rulers.
Speakers included Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice Moyo Onigbanjo and Prof. Akin Ibidapo-Obe of the University of Lagos, Akoka.
Tinubu recovering from a kneecap surgery in London has never declared his intention, though many believe he is eyeing Nigeria’s highest office which President Muhammadu Buhari will leave in 2023.
Many political groups have also lent their platforms to propagating the Tinubu brand in the run-up to the general election.
