Minister who gave N30m to build mosque, power counterpart weak links, says Buhari
After reviewing their stewardship, and finding them wanting, President Muhammadu Buhari sacked his Agric Minister Mohammed Nanono and his power counterpart Mamah Saleh.
According to a release by Buhari’s media aide, it’s the administration’s tradition to subject programmes and projects implementation to critical self-review during cabinet meetings.
“These significant review steps have helped to identify and strengthen weak areas, close gaps, build cohesion and synergy in governance, manage the economy and improve the delivery of public good to Nigerians,” said Femi Adeshina September 1.
The National Daily reported how Nanono approved N30 million to build a Friday mosque for IDP in Borno.
The competence Saleh too could have deserved scrutiny considering series of grid collapse and power problems in the country.
State Ministers of Environment, Mohammed Mahmoud Abubakar and Works and Housing, Abubakar Aliyu have replaced the two.
