Kalu commiserates with Dangote over brother’s death
Former Executive Governor of Abia State, H/E Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has expressed intense regret over the painful transition of Alhaji Sani Dangote, brother to Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
In his commiseratory message to Dangote which was conveyed through his Media Aide/ Spokesperson, Hon. Maduka Okoro, OUK described the deceased and former Vice President of Dangote Group of Companies as a complete gentleman with passion for humanity.
The Chief Whip of Nigeria’ Senate who acknowledged the contributions of the deceased to the business circle, enjoined the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the entire people of Kano State to take solace in God, while describing the death of Sani Dangote as “a Painful and huge loss to the nation”.

He said: “The late Dangote was a big player in the Private sector beyond the shores of Nigeria”, he lamented. May Allah make Al- Jannah Firdaus his final abode”.
He, therefore, urged Dangote’s family to sustain the good legacy of the deceased while extending his condolences to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and the entire Kano Emirate Council over the painful loss.
The deceased who died in a US hospital was the Group Vice President Dangote Group, while his brother, Aliko, is the president.
He was an established businessman with investments in key sectors of the economy including manufacturing, agriculture and oil services.
In his lifetime, Sani sat on the boards of several other companies including Nigerian Textile Mills Plc, Nutra Sweet Limited, Gum Arabic Limited, Dangote Textile Mills Limited, Alsan Insurance Brokers, Dan-Hydro Company Limited, Dansa Food Processing Company Limited and Dangote Farms Limited.
He was the Deputy Chairman of African Gum Arabic Producers Association and a two-time President of Lagos Polo Club in addition to being a professional polo player.
