Ekiti 2022: EFCC bursts into residence stored with voters’ booklet, arrests vote buyers at polling units
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Saturday burst into a residence, apprehending party agents in possession of a book containing details of voters in a particular voting zone.
The commission also arrested party agents involved in vote buying at polling units in the Ekiti governorship election.
EFCC paraded some of the arrested agents at the Oke Ori Omi Area Division of the Ekiti State Police Command. The commission disclosed that the suspects were caught with huge sums of money budgeted to induce voters to cast their ballots for their principal. EFCC said that the vote buying was secretly done by the agents.
