Buhari requests N819.5bn supplementary budget from National Assembly
President Muhammadu Buhari has requested approval for N819.5 billion supplementary budget from the National Assembly. The N819.5 billion supplementary budget is beside the 2022 budget of N17.126 trillion which President Buhari signed on December 31, 2021.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, reading the president’s letter requesting the N819.5 billion supplementary budget, noted that the President indicated that the supplementary budget is required to complete ongoing critical Federal Government projects, such as dams and irrigation projects.
