Jailed Nigerian-born Islamic extremist transferred to hospital

Lee Rigby’s killer, Michael Adebowale has been moved back to Broadmoor hospital where he’ll cost taxpayers £250,000-a-year, report says.

Adebowale and Michael Adebolajo, 30, were caged for life for hacking to death Fusilier Rigby, 25, in a street in Woolwich, South East London, in 2013.

He spent ten months in Berkshire psychiatric hospital Broadmoor in Berkshire after claiming to hear voices but was moved after medics ruled him sane.

Transferring him to Wakefield, West Yorks, last October saved the taxpayer around £250,000 a year.

The jail is called “Monster Mansion” because it houses some of Britain’s worst criminals including Ian Huntley and Charles Bronson.

But according to The Sun, he has been moved back to Broadmoor after he refused to comply with medics at Wakefield.

While in prison, Adebowale had complained about the food in a whining letter to a pal.
Adebowale, 24, told his penpal: “The food ain’t so good. “Most days it’s bread and soup.”

He further stated that, “I’ve met many numerous brothers who are also practising like me out of jail and in jail.”

It is understood he made friends with a number of other Muslims in the strict category-A prison and used his time inside to convert more followers to Islam.

He also tells how he decided to convert from Christianity to Islam after an incident in which he saw a friend killed.
