Apple to unveil iPhone 16, smart watch, Airpods in September
Apple has announced its next product event will take place on September 9th, 2024, at 6 PM WAT (1 PM ET / 10 AM PT) at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park.
Branded with the tagline “It’s Glowtime,” the event will showcase the iPhone 16 series, along with new versions of the Apple Watch and AirPods.
While specific details about the products are under wraps, industry insiders hint at several updates for the iPhone 16 lineup. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are expected to feature a vertically aligned camera system, moving away from the previous diagonal design.

The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max may come with larger screens while retaining the familiar three-camera setup. There is also speculation about a new bronze color option.
All iPhone 16 models are anticipated to include the Action Button, previously found only on the iPhone 15 Pro models. This button is expected to provide quick access to various functions, potentially including a dedicated photo and video capture option. It is unclear if this feature will be available across all models or just the Pro versions.
Artificial intelligence is expected to play a significant role, with enhanced AI capabilities likely available across the entire iPhone 16 series, building on the AI features introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro models.
In addition to the iPhone 16 series, Apple is expected to reveal the Apple Watch Series 10 and new AirPods models, further strengthening its position in the wearable technology market.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 16 are expected to begin shortly after the event, with general availability slated for September 20th.
As usual, Apple’s September event is anticipated to attract considerable attention from consumers and tech enthusiasts eager for the latest innovations.
