Tinubu celebrates Chief Gabriel Igbinedion on 90th birthday
President Bola Tinubu extends his warmest congratulations to Chief (Dr) Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin, as he reaches the milestone age of 90 on September 11, 2024.
The President commends Chief Igbinedion for his exceptional achievements as a pioneering businessman, philanthropist, and staunch advocate for education and community development.
Recognizing Chief Igbinedion’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s economy, President Tinubu highlights his role as the founder and chairman of the Igbinedion Group—a conglomerate with diverse interests in oil and gas, construction, and hospitality.

The President also praises Esama for establishing Igbinedion University, the first private university in Nigeria, and for his unwavering commitment to advancing quality education and academic excellence.
