Mother of late football legend cries out for help
The mother of Nigerian football legend, Sam Okwaraji, has cried out for help pleading for the Federal Government to come to her aid,National Daily learnt.
The woman recently alleged that after all her son sacrificed for the country, she has been forgotten, and the authorities have abandoned the late hero’s family.
Okwaraji on August 12, 1989, slumped and died while playing for the Super Eagles against Angola at the National Stadium, Lagos in FIfa World Cup qualifier that ended 1-0 in favour of Nigeria.
Okwaraji, a lawyer, was the only child of the family.
