After quiting APC, Kenneth Okonkwo declares support for Obi
Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo, has said that his political focus is now on the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
He made this statement during an appearance on Arise TV on Thursday, days after quitting the All Progressives Congress as a result of Kashim Shettima’s appointment as Bola Tinubu’s running mate.
The veteran actor, who is also a lawyer, disapproved of the Muslim-Muslim ticket and sent a letter of resignation on his Instagram page on Monday as a result.
Speaking on Thursday, Okonkwo said, “I’m not contemplating any party yet but I must tell you, a friend of mine, a northern brother of mine from Kano State when he learnt I was coming for this program told me, I must be obi-centric going forward.
