Akor rescues Flying Eagles against SC Freiburg U23s
Jerome Akor came off the bench to score the equaliser in the Flying Eagles thrilling 3-3 draw with SC Freiburg U23 recently.
The Freiburg U23s, who feature in the German regional league, were heading to a 3-2 win before Sogndal striker Akor restored parity with a cool finish when face-to-face with the goalkeeper.
Czech Republic-based striker Tijani Mohammed also scored for the robust-playing Flying Eagles against a more cohesive Frieburg side.
Half time scores were 2-1 in favour of Freiburg.
Igho Ogbu, Valentine Ozornwafor, Solomon Ogberahwe, Hamdi Akujobi, Olawale Oremade all featured in today’s friendly.
However, skipper Ikouwem Udoh was left out.
The Flying Eagles are drawn against Qatar, USA and Ukraine in the first round of the U20 World Cup in Poland, which kicks off May 23.
