APC 2023: Finally, court delivers judgement on Jonathan’s eligibility
The Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa has ruled that former President Goodluck Jonathan is eligible to contest the 2023 presidential election.
Justice Isa Hamma Dashen gave the judgement on Friday.
He also held that Jonathan’s right to vie for the office of president again cannot be stopped by any retroactive law.
In the ame vein, th former president has been granted waiver to contest the APC presidential primary ticket this weekend.
Jonathan has denied having ambition to rule Nigeria again, though sources claim he has been lobbying President Muhammadu Buhari to get the ticket without contest.
