Tinubu, Omo-Agege commence direct distribution of N200m relief funds materials to flood victims in Delta

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced the distribution of N200 million intervention relief funds and materials to victims of flooding in the three senatorial districts in Delta State. Party sources disclosed to National Daily that the N200 million intervention assistance to the flood victims comprises of N50 million cash donation by the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and N150 million materials donated by the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, the APC governorship candidate in Delta State.

The Director General of the Ovie Omo-Agege Governorship Campaign Organisation, Elder Godsday Orubebe, in a statement on Tuesday disclosed the “revised guidelines for distributing the N50 million donated by Asiwaju Tinubu and N150 million  worth of materials donated by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, to the various IDP camps where the flood victims assembled across Delta State.

According to the APC governorship campaign DG, the distribution of the intervention aides will be led by APC candidates for Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly elections, who will be accompanied by Party officials – State Exco and Local Government Exco – and Campaign Organisation personnel.

National Daily gathered that Orubebe directed that all  APC candidates in each of the Local Government Areas where a site is identified will jointly go to the site with party officials and Campaign organisation officials.

The APC campaign identified the sites to be visited and amount allocated to each site from the N50 million donation of Tinubu as follows:

Delta South

  1. IDP Camp, Patani – N5 million
  2. Bomadi Town – N2.33 million
  3. Tuono in Burutu and Isaba in Warri SW – N2,333,333.33
  4. Inorin, Warri South – N2,333,333.33
  5. Late Senator Okpozo’s compound in Ozoro, Isoko North- N2,333,333.33
  6. Hon. Joel Onovwakpo Thomas Campaign HQ in Emede, Isoko South – N2,333,333.33

Delta North

  1. Utagba Ogbe Technical College -N5 million
  2. NDDC IDP Camp, Hospital Road, Kwale, Ndokwa West – N2,333,333.33
  3. DESOPADEC IDP Camp, Ozoma-Uku Primary School,n Ashaka, Ndokwa East – N2,333,333.33
  4. Ewulu Mixed Secondary School IDP Camp, Ewulu, Aniocha South – N2,333,333.33
  5. Basic Secondary School, Illah, Oshimili North – N2,333,333.33
  6. Onne Primary School Cable Point, Asaba, Oshimili South – N2,333,333.33

Delta Central

  1. IDP Camp in Okwagbe Secondary School in Ughelli South LGA – N5 million.
  2. Town Hall, Evwreni in Ughelli North LGA. – N2,333,333.33
  3. Uwheru Grammar School in Ughelli North – N2,333,333.33.
  4. Emadadja Community IDP in Udu LGA – N2,333,333.33
  5. Eghereka Secondary School,  Ewu Urhobo in Ughelli South N2,333,333.33.
  6. Aladja Community IDP in Udu LGA. – N2,333,333.33.

The camapign DG also stated that the three camps visited by the Party on 2nd November 2022 will be given N5 million each and each of the other 15 sites will be given N2, 333,333.33) each.

Orubebe directed that the relief materials will be collected from Chief Ominimini at Ughelli, noting that they include rice, beans, salt, mosquito nets, Cloth materials, children wears, roofing sheets and nails. The materials will be divided into three equal parts for the three Senatorial Districts. Each Senatorial District will sign for the items which will now be divided into six parts for the six sites.

The DG stated that the money for each Senatorial district will be transferred to the Senatorial Co-Ordinators before 9.00am on Wednesday, who will liaise with the Senatorial and all other candidates and form a team to deliver the money and items to each of the sites.

Orubebe instructed that the teams delivering the items should ensure quality video recording and adequate publicity.
