APC national chairman Abdullahi Adamu, resigns
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has resigned his membership of the National Assembly. Adamu has been representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District over the past 15 years in the National Assembly.
The resignation letter of the APC national chairman was communicated to the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, who read the same at the Senate plenary on Tuesday.
Adamu had explained that his resignation has become necessary since his endorsement as the APC National Chairman at the party’s recent national convention.
The APC Deputy National Chairman, Senator Abubakar Kyari, representing Borno North Senatorial district, also resigned his membership of the National Assembly.
Kyari in his letter transmitted to Senate President Lawan also explained that he has resigned after becoming APC Deputy National Chairman (North).
