APC primaries: Kwara lawmaker presents campaign vehicle to DG
Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries for the Kwara South Senatorial District, Rep. Tunji Olawuyi, has presented a Toyota Sienna Space bus to the Director General, Ajuloopin Campaign Council, Mr Hassan Garuba.
Olawuyi, popularly called Ajuloopin, presented the vehicle to facilitate movement of his campaign council.
Mr Ben Duntoye, the Director, Special Duty of the campaign council, announced the development at a meeting of the council on Monday in Omu-Aran, headquarters of Irepodun Local Government Area.
The 29-member of the council commended the gesture, noting that it will make their job easier.
Olawuyi said that the gesture was borne out of his desire to ease their electioneering logistics, adding that he has no doubt in the ability of the diirector-general to deliver.
Responding, Garuba said the gesture was a shocker to him, adding that the job ahead requires focus and dedication.
“What is happening here today has taken me by surprise, I am not expecting it, I give Allah the glory.
“I want to solicit Allah’s help and prayer that this project shall be successful and by Friday, May 27, we shall come to celebrate the victory,” he said.
He also prayed that the campaign team would not regret its participation in the primary.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Olawuyi is slugging it out with the incumbent lawmaker, Sen. Lola Ashiru.
