Arsenal sign Greece international Christos Tzolis in reported £34m deal
Arsenal have completed the signing of Greece international Christos Tzolis from Belgian champions Club Brugge in a deal reportedly worth £34 million.
The 24-year-old forward has joined the Premier League champions on a long-term contract, strengthening Mikel Arteta’s attacking options ahead of the new season. The reported fee is also believed to be a record transfer involving a Belgian Pro League club.
Tzolis arrives at the Emirates Stadium following an impressive two-year spell at Club Brugge, where he established himself as one of the standout attacking players in Belgian football.
During his time at the club, the Greek international scored 43 goals and provided 45 assists in 108 appearances across all competitions. He helped Club Brugge win the Belgian Cup in 2025 and the league title in 2026, while also earning the Belgian Pro League Player of the Season award.
Speaking after completing the move, Tzolis expressed excitement about joining the North London club.
“I need some time to realise it, I think. It’s absolutely amazing to sign for such a big club, the champions of England. I’m very proud to be part of this team for the next season,” he said.
Arsenal’s sporting director, Andrea Berta, described Tzolis as a versatile attacking player capable of operating across the frontline.
The Greek forward primarily plays on the left wing but is also comfortable on the right and in more central attacking positions. He is known for his ability to score with both feet, create chances and operate effectively in tight spaces.
Tzolis previously played in England with Norwich City after joining the club from Greek side PAOK in 2021. However, he made only 14 Premier League appearances before reviving his career following his move to Club Brugge in 2024.
The forward has also become an important member of the Greece national team, earning 34 senior caps since making his international debut in October 2020.
His arrival is expected to provide Arsenal with additional depth and competition in the attacking positions as the club prepares for another domestic and European campaign.
