Bandits kill Police Inspector, kidnap passengers on transit
Bandits on M0nday killed a Police Inspector during exchange of gunfire during a kidnapping operation in Katsina State. It was gathered that the Police Inspector, Idris Musa, had intervened to repel the bandits from kidnapping some passengers on transit at Makera quarters, Kwakware Community, along Katsina-Jibia Road, Katsina State, but was killed in the process.
The bandits were said to have invaded the community at about 7.00am on Monday shooting sporadically as they were pursuing a bus conveying passengers.
The bandits were said to set ablaze the car of the Police Inspector after he had been killed, then, kidnapped several of the passengers in the bus.
