Bandits renew hostilities, kill 29 in Southern Kaduna
Bandits on Saturday night renewed hostilities in Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State, killing 29 peoples in fresh attack on Runji Village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna State, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement, acknowledged the fresh killings, disclosing that the bandits burnt many houses and injured some residents during their invasion of the community.
The Commissioner said that troops of the Nigerian military engaged the bandits in fierce exchange of gunfire, and continued to comb the area to retore law and order.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State was gathered to have declared that the renewed hostilities and killings were unacceptable and unjustifiable.
