Wamakko wins in Sokoto North to return to 10th Senate
Former Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Saturday won the supplementary election in Sokoto North Senatorial District for a return to the 10th National Assembly.
The INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Ibrahim Magawata, announcing the result of the election in 185 polling units where results were cancelled in the February 25 election, declared that Wamakko of the APC won the supplementary senatorial election with 141,468 votes, defeating Dan’iya Manir Muhammad of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who had 118,445 votes, beside others.
