Bandits slaughter 7 persons in Kaduna
Bandits sent a strong new year massage of unending insecurity in the northwest Nigeria when they invaded some villages in three local government areas of Kaduna State, killing over seven persons. The local governments were identified as Igabi, Chikun and Zango Kataf.
The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna State, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement on Sunday acknowledged that four people were killed, and one person injured during the invasion of Kerawa village in Igabi Local Government by bandits.
The bandits were said to have struck at the village with sporadic shooting.
The Commissioner disclosed that the bandits stole some motorcycles and food item in the community as they flee for safety.
In the killing pf two persons in Igabi and Chikun local government areas, the bandits had stormed Sabon Garin Ungwar Dalha, an outskirt of Maraban Jos area of Igabi Local Government Area, attacking residents in their houses while shooting indiscriminately.
