Bayelsa residents protest rejection of old N500, N1,000 Notes
Angry residents of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State took to the streets to protest the rejection of old N500 and N1,000 notes by traders and commercial banks in the state on Friday.
The protesters blocked the major Mbiama-Yenagoa Road and carried placards with various inscriptions.

One of the placards in the photo shared reads, “Bank refuses the old cash but they are dispensing it, why?”.
