Be decisive in action against Niger coup plotters, Adeyanju tells ECOWAS
Deji Adeyanju, a political commentator, has urged the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, to be swift and decisive in its actions against the Niger Republic.
Adeyanju warned that Russia might attempt a coup in Nigeria if ECOWAS fails to take swift and decisive action against the Niger Republic.
He challenged the western world to allow Africa to manage its challenges.

Tweeting, Adeyanju wrote: “ECOWAS response to the coup in Niger must be swift and decisive; if not, Russia will attempt a coup in Nigeria very soon. Africa should be allowed to manage its affairs on its own.
“The idea of having new colonial masters in the 21st century is not only disgusting but annoying.”
There are reports of ECOWAS mobilising to invade the Niger Republic following the ousting of President Bazoum by coup plotters.
