Biafra League Leader survives encounter with Nigerian security operatives, escapes to Bakassi
The leader of Biafra Nations League (BnL) on his way from Oron to Bakassi Peninsula had confrontation with Nigerian security operatives who attempted to intercept the flying boat conveying him. The BnL leader, thus, came under attack after a speed boat carrying him and his entourage was confronted on the water ways by personnel of the Nigerian Navy near Ibaka in Akwa Ibom State. the incident was said to have occurred at about 6.30pm, the naval personnel were said to have net resistance when they attempted to obstruct the movement of the speed boat.
The security operatives chased the boat to a distance and retreated.
BnL leader in the Bakassi, Ita Bassey, acknowledging the incidence, asserted that the BnL leader left Oron to Bakassi Peninsula and he is fine.
