Bonds of Governorship succession in Rivers – 1999 to 2023
Virtually every governor of Rivers State since 1999 was installed by his predecessor on certain bonds.
The pioneer Governor Peter Odili set the pace to handover to Celestine Omehia, then Rotimi Amaechi intercepted and handed over to Nyesom Wike and Wike to Siminalayi Fubara.
However, virtually all the successors turned to be thorn in the flesh of the predecessor. And the intrigues persisted to this day.
