Bro. Felix Obuah extols sterling qualities of late Emeritus Professor Augustine Ahiauzu

The Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro. Felix Obuah, on Thursday said that late Emeritus Prof. Augustine Ikechukwu Ahiauzu, though dead, still lives because he would always be remembered for living a worthy, exemplary and utilitarian life.Bro. Obuah in a statement, described late Emeritus Professor Ahiauzu as an ‘Academic Iroko’ who will be missed by all Nigerians and the Diasporas, especially, in United Kingdom, where the late Emeritus professor obtained his Masters and Doctorate degrees.
Bro Obuah further applauded the late Emeritus Professor’s sense of commitment to the cause of humanity, regretting that his demise has left a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.

The RIWAMA boss further extolled the sterling qualities of the late former Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (now  Rivers State University), Port Harcourt, as a seasoned scholar and teacher who used his career to produce some of the best human resources in the state.

Bro. Obuah charged the Ahiauzu family to uphold their faith as Christians and mourn their departed father, believing that he is in safer hands of his Creator and that they all will meet again on the resurrection day.

The Sole Administrator of  RIWAMA also called on them to take solace in the fact that the late Emeritus Professor Ahiauzu who published over 10 books and academic journals to his credit, lived a life worthy of emulation and also left legacies not only for his children but for those yet unborn.

“He was a pace-setter, an academic guru and a positive influence not only on his immediate family but also on the Ogba and Rivers people as well as Nigerians in general.  He would be missed but our prayers go to his family for God’s guidance, protection and continuous provisions”, Bro. Obuah prayed.
