BRT Bus catches fire on Third Mainland Bridge
A Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) belonging to the Lagos State government on Wednesday morning caught fire and burnt beyond repairs on the Third Mainland Bridge on its way to Siemens, Lagos Island.
National Daily learned that the cause of the fire was not immediately known but fire fighters of the Lagos State Fire Service arrived the scene of the accident to bring the situation under control. However, the fire fighter arrived late and could not protect the bus from being consumed by the fire.
Meanwhile, no life was lost. All the passengers and the crew successfully jumped out of the bus for safety. The debris of the burnt bus is still on the Third Mainland Bridge waiting evacuation by the LASTMA at the time of this report by National Daily.
