Buhari declares October 1 Independence anniversary open, releases ‘Nigeria At 60’ emblem
President Muhammadu Buhari may have on Wednesday declared open the October 1 Independence Anniversary of Nigeria. The President at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja, unveiled the logo adopted for the 2020 October 1 anniversary celebration of the Diamond Jubilee, with the code – “Together at 60”.
It was gathered that President Buhari unveiled the logo at the meeting attended by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, and ministers.
Ministers present at the meeting were identified to include the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed; Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, etc.
The Federal Government had requested Nigerians to submit creative ideas in September titled “Together at 60”, to exemplify the uniqueness of the anniversary.
