Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo, called to bar
A renowned Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo, was among the new lawyers called to the bar of the Nigerian judiciary on Tuesday. Kanayo, in the ecstasy of his new profession, took to social media to celebrate that he is now a lawyer.
On his call to the Nigerian Bar on Tuesday, Kanayo, 58 years, graduated into a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He adorned himself Kanayo in lawyer’s wig and robe in a photograph he posted on Instagram, with wild celebration: “To God be all the Glory. You can now address me as Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, Esq, MFR (Barrister And Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria)”.
Kanayo had inspired his fans to work for their goals, no matter how old they are. “Don’t you ever give up on anything you want to become; I have always wanted to study law since my first degree in the early 1990s,” he said.
Kanayo, a leading actor in “Living in Bondage”, studied Law at the University of Abuja. He graduated in 2018 and went to the Nigerian Law School where he passed the examinations in July 2020.
